As part of our support for new businesses we have developed a ‘Starter Pack’ for new employers. Many of our small business clients have used this starter pack to recruit their first employees and to ensure that they have identified, and can meet, their legal obligations. The pack contains a basic contract of employment, key policies and processes, and guidance on health and safety requirements, making it much simpler for new employers to comply with their legal obligations.

How do I draw up a shareholders agreement?

Our client wanted to provide shares to a senior employee as part of their reward package, but wasn’t sure how to do this to avoid disputes in the future. We advised them to implement a shareholders agreement which clearly stated the allocation of shares, along with details on what would happen should the employee leave the business, or if the client wanted to sell the business without problems arising.

Our national Facilities Management client wanted to implement a UK wide health and wellbeing initiative to support their employees. We provided Wellness Checks to identify health risks and put in place stress management training for their managers.
