Our design client wanted to introduce a way for staff to provide feedback on senior management, and ensure staff concerns were being addressed. We developed a bespoke appraisal process and trained their managers to provide objective and constructive feedback which was collated and then used to plan future staff engagement activities.

How can I ensure my contracts protect me and my business?

We worked with our Financial Services client to develop a range of employment contracts to support and protect their business. We created bespoke contracts for senior roles with simpler versions for junior staff, making this a cost effective solution for the client.

How can I enable my staff to work smarter - not harder?

What are my legal obligations to staff?

As part of our support for new businesses we have developed a ‘Starter Pack’ for new employers. Many of our small business clients have used this starter pack to recruit their first employees and to ensure that they have identified, and can meet, their legal obligations. The pack contains a basic contract of employment, key policies and processes, and guidance on health and safety requirements, making it much simpler for new employers to comply with their legal obligations.

How do I manage staff leave and expenses?

We implemented a new online employee management system for our Telecare client which streamlined the management of both leave and expenses.  The system has reduced the administrative burden for managers, and provides a GDPR compliant mechanism for managing employees, and staff love using it.

How do I set up an employee appraisal process?

Our Risk Management client asked us to help them set up a new appraisal process. We identified the best method to suit their business, and trained all managers on how to conduct effective appraisal meetings. Our HR Consultants also sat in on appraisal meetings to support managers, and were able to provide advice and guidance on managing difficult situations as they arose.

What training is available for my staff?

After working with our Waste Management client on day to day HR issues for some time, we identified a need to train their managers help them manage staff more effectively. We developed a bespoke suite of training on, delivering feedback and handling difficult conversations. This training gave the managers the skills to handle a range of situations themselves, allowing them to resolve simple issues quickly which saved them both time and money.
